Halesite House Fire 12/20/2021

On Monday December 20th at 11:50p, the Halesite Fire Department was dispatched to a reported house fire on East Neck Rd. First Assistant Chief Spada [2-2-31] was quickly on scene and found fire through the roof of the structure and a Signal 13/35 was transmitted. Engine 2-2-8 was first due and stretched the initial line to begin extinguishing the fire. At least 3 lines were stretched and placed into operation to extinguish the fire which was placed under control in approximately 1 hour with the assistance of crews from Huntington, Cenerport, and Cold Spring Harbor. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
