North Amityville House Fire 11/19/2020

On Thursday, November 19th at approximately 9pm, the North Amityville Fire Company was dispatched to a reported house fire on Ronek Dr. North Amityville Chiefs were quickly on scene and found a confirmed basement fire, upgrading the alarm to a Working Fire. 1 adult and 1 child were removed from the house by the Chief with one patient flown and one transported by ground to the burn center. Engine 1-7-10 was first due and stretched the initial line through the outside basement door to begin extinguishing the fire. At least 2 lines were stretched and placed into operation to quickly extinguish the fire. The fire was placed under control in approximately 30 minutes.
