Copiague House Fire 04/19/2022

On Tuesday, April 19th at 10:37p, the Copiague Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a house fire on Dante Pl in Amity Harbor. 1st Assistant Chief Miller [1-3-31] was quickly on scene and transmitted a working fire with fire in the attic of a 1.5 story house. TL 1-3-4 and E 1-3-9 were quickly on scene and worked together to locate and extinguish the main body of fire which began to self ventilate through the roof during operations. At least 3 lines were stretched and placed into operation to extinguish the fire with the assistance of crews from Amityville and Lindenhurst. The fire was placed under control in approximately 30 minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
