Jericho Truck Fire 03/07/2022

On Monday March 7th at 10:51a, the Jericho Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a Truck Fire on the Westbound LIE at North Broadway. Medic 9499 arrived on scene and confirmed a fully involved cab of a car carrier with extension to vehicles on the trailer. Syosset, also dispatched for the same truck fire, arrived on scene with Engine 585 and began extinguishing the fire. After utilizing foam, the main body of fire was extinguished in under 30 minutes. Hazmat was also requested to the scene from Hicksville and Nassau County Fire Marshals. All operations were under the direction of Chief of Department Heron [9401].
