Hicksville House Fire 09/07/2021

On Tuesday, September 7th at approximately 8:45a, the Hicksville Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a house fire on Hewitt St. 1st Assistant Chief Moskos [9302] was first on scene and transmitted a Signal 10 for a fully involved kitchen fire. Engine 937 was first due and stretched the initial line to quickly knock down the fire in the kitchen. With the assistance of crews from Bethpage and Westbury, the fire was quickly placed under control in approximately 30 minutes with 2 lines stretched. 1 occupant was transported by EMS for smoke inhalation.
