Farmingdale House Fire 09/19/2021

On Sunday, September 19th at 3:35p, the Farmingdale Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a house fire on Vancott Ave. 1st Assistant Chief Tortso & 2nd Assistant Chief Hammond were quickly on scene and confirmed a smoke condition in the basement with fire ultimately located in the walls. Engine 924 was first due and stretched 2 lines to extinguish the fire with the assistance of crews from South Farmingdale, Bethpage and East Farmingdale. The fire was quickly placed under control in approximately 30 minutes. with units released form the scene in approximately 1 hour.
