Manhasset-Lakeville House Fire 03/16/2022

On Wednesday, March 16th at 7:35p, the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a house fire on Joseph St in North New Hyde Park. 2nd Assistant Chief Farrone [8705] was quickly on scene and transmitted a Signal 10 with active fire in the kitchen of the house. Engine 8751 was first due and stretched the initial line to begin extinguishing the fire. The fire was quickly knocked down with a total of 2 lines stretched and mutual aid from New Hyde Park for a FAS Team. 1 occupant was removed from the home by Nassau County Police and transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Units were released from the scene in approximately 1 hour with all operations under the direction of Chief of Department Rice [8701].
