Manhasset-Lakeville Signal 10 07/18/2020

On Saturday, July 18th at approximately 11:40p, all 6 companies of the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department were dispatched to a report of a Structure Fire on Manor Dr in the Spinney Hill Section of their district. Chiefs quickly arrived on scene to find smoke showing from the residence and a Signal 10 was transmitted for a confirmed fire in the basement of the house. Engine 8740 was first due and stretched the initial line into the basement to begin extinguishing the fire. At least 1 line was stretched and placed into operation to extinguish the fire which was quickly placed under control. Multiple animals including a bird and a rabbit were rescued from the house by firefighters on scene.
