Williston Park Garage Fire 05/17/2022

On Tuesday, May 17th just before 9:30p, the Williston Park Fire Department was dispatched to a report of an unknown type fire on Lehigh St. While en-route, units were advised of an additional call for a garage fire. Williston Park 1st Assistant Chief Chester [8601] and Chief of Department Duggan [8600] quickly arrived on scene finding an active contents fire in the garage. Engine 861 was first due and stretched 1 line to quickly extinguish the fire. After minor overhaul, the scene was placed under control in approximately 10 minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
