Port Washington House Fire 11/24/2021

On Wednesday, November 24th just before 12:30p, the Port Washington Fire Department was dispatched to report of a house fire on Mill Neck Rd. Chief of Department Waterson [8500] was quickly on scene with smoke showing from the chimney and upon further investigation, fire was found in the basement and a Signal 10 was transmitted. Engine 8513 was first due and stretched the initial line to the basement to begin extinguishing the fire. In total, 2 lines were stretched to extinguish the fire with the assistance of crews from Roslyn and Manhasset-Lakeville. The fire was placed under control in approximately 45 minutes.
