Great Neck Alert House Fire 12/29/2017

At just after 4:45pm, the Great Neck Alert Fire Company was dispatched to a report of a house fire in Kings Point. Units arrived on scene to find a well involved fire in a large house with flames through the front windows and roof. Engine 824 was the first due engine and began the initial fire attack. Multiple hand lines were stretched by Great Neck Alert crews as well as Mutual Aid crews from Manhasset-Lakeville to combat this large blaze. The fire took over an hour to be placed under control and is under investigation by the Nassau County Fire Marshal’s Office.
