Uniondale Tower Ladder 754 Wetdown 08/28/2022
On Sunday, August 28th, Protection Ladder Company 4 of the Uniondale Fire Department hosted a wetdown & dedication for the new Tower Ladder 754, a 2020 95’ Seagrave Aerialscope. Replacing a 2002 Sutphen Ladder, the new TL 754 was placed into service during the COVID-19 pandemic but never officially dedicated until now. The first of its kind, the new 754 is reported to be the first dual-monitor Aerialscope with a 2,000gpm pump. The ceremony was led by Ex-Chief Doherty, with remarks from the Commissioners and Company Captain LeBron. After the keys were officially handed over, TL754 was christened with a ceremonial champagne break by Ex-Chief Doherty before being wetdown by fellow Seagrave ladders from Hempstead, Roosevelt, Mineola and Holbrook. Congratulations to Uniondale on the new apparatus & best of luck for the years to come.
