Uniondale House Fire 10/22/2020

On Thursday October 22nd shortly after 10am, the Uniondale Fire Department was dispatched to a residential automatic alarm on Nostrand Ave. Assistant Chief Lacy [7502] was quickly on the road and advised by Firecom they were receiving an additional call for a house fire at the location. Chief Lacy quickly arrived on scene and transmitted a Signal 98 (smoke showing). First due units found fire on the 2nd floor and the alarm was upgraded to a Signal 10 (working fire) at least 2 lines were stretched to extinguish the fire. The fire was placed under control in under 30 minutes.
