Roosevelt House Fire 04/17/2022

On Sunday April 17th at approximately 3:40p, the Roosevelt Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a house fire with people trapped on Frederick Ave. Units quickly arrived on scene to find a mostly extinguished exterior fire around the entryway of the house and the occupant out. Engine 733 was first due and stretched 1 line to knock down the remainder of the fire. With the assistance of an Engine from Uniondale and a FAST from North Merrick, the fire was quickly placed under control with the occupant transported to a local hospital for smoke inhalation.
