Hempstead 2nd Alarm House Fire 10/22/2022

On Tuesday, October 25th just after 11p, the Hicksville Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a car vs house with entrapment at the intersection of Newbridge Rd & Elmira St. Units quickly arrived on scene to find a car into the front steps of a house with damage to the overhang supports & front wall of the house. The occupant of the vehicle was removed by ESU prior to Fire Department arrival and transported to the hospital in serious condition. Due to the damage to the structure, Technical Rescue Teams from Bethpage & Massapequa responded to the scene. After evaluating the structure and securing utilities, the scene was turned over to Nassau County Police for investigation. All operations were under the direction of Chief of Department Moskos [9301].
