Hempstead Double House Fire 12/21/2020

On Monday December 21st at 10:23p, the Hempstead Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a house fire at the intersection of Fulton Ave & Nassau Pl. 2nd Assistant Chief Sandas [82] was quickly on scene and advised Fire Alarm Central that he had 2 vacant houses on fire and transmitted a Signal 10. Engine 2, Engine 4 and Truck 1 were quickly on scene and began attacking the fire. Additional mutual aid was requested due to the fire in 2 structures. At least 4 lines were stretched to extinguish the fire in both structures. The fire was placed under control in approximately 2 hours.
