Hempstead Bus Fire 06/16/2022

On Thursday, June 18th at approximately 8:15p, the Hempstead Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a bus fire on Greenwich St in the vicinity of Henry St. Units quickly arrived on scene to find fire in the rear engine compartment of the bus. Engine 4 was first due and stretched 1 line to extinguish the fire. 1 occupant who was on the bus was evaluated by EMS. Units were released from the scene in approximately 30 minutes.
