Wantagh House Fire 11/12/2021

On Friday November 12th just before 3:30a, the Wantagh Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a House Fire on Bayview Ave. Chief of Department Kelly [6900] was quickly on the road and was advised by dispatch that a member on scene was reporting a fully involved house. With that information, a Signal 10 (working fire) was transmitted. Upon arrival, heavy fire was found on both the 1st and 2nd floor of the house. Engine 695 was first due and stretched the initial line to begin extinguishing the fire. At least 3 lines were placed into operation to extinguish the blaze with the assistance of crews from Massapequa, Bellmore and Seaford. The fire was placed under control in approximately 1 hour with extensive overhaul conducted.
