Wantagh Detached Garage Fire 07/26/2021

On Monday July 26th at 7:45a, the Wantagh Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a house fire on North Jerusalem Rd in Levittown. 3rd Assistant Chief Stevens [6903] was quickly on scene and transmitted a Signal 10 for a fully involved detached garage with exposure issues. Engine 694 was first due and began extinguishing the fire which had spread to one house and was impinging on a second. With the assistance of crews from Levittown, Bethpage, Seaford and North Bellmore, the fire was quickly knocked down with extensive overhaul conducted in all structures involved. The fire was placed under control in and placed under control in approximately 1 hour with the cause of the fire under investigation.
