Wantagh House Fire 10/27/2020

On Tuesday October 27th at just before 11p, the Wantagh Fire Department was alerted for a house fire on Hilaire Way. Wantagh Chiefs were quickly on scene and transmitted a Signal 98 (smoke showing) which was quickly upgraded to a Signal 10 (working fire) for a second floor fire in to the rear of the house. Engine 693 was first due and stretched the initial lines to begin extinguishing the fire. At least 2 lines were stretched and placed into operation to extinguish the fire which was placed under control in approximately 45 minutes.
