North Bellmore House Fire 12/04/2021

On Saturday, December 4th at 10:30p, the North Bellmore Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a house fire on Herkimer St. Chief of Department DiRenzo [6500] was quickly on scene and transmitted a Signal 10 (working fire) with fire showing from the first floor of the house. Engine 655 was first due and stretched the initial line to begin extinguishing the fire. With the assistance of crews from North Merrick, Bellmore and East Meadow, at least 2 lines were stretched and placed into operation. The fire was placed under control in approximately 45 minutes with 1 occupant transported in unknown condition.
