Massapequa House Fire 05/09/2022

On Monday, May 9th, the Massapequa Fire Department was dispatched to a report of smoke from the house on Croyden Dr. 2nd Assistant Chief Friedland [6302] was quickly on scene and transmitted a Signal 10 with smoke showing from the 1 1/2 story cape. Engine 6314 and Ladder 636 were first due and quickly located and extinguished the main body of fire. With the assistance of a FAST from Amityville, the fire was quickly placed under control with all units released from the scene in approximately 1 hour. All operations were under the direction of Chief of Department Monjardo [6300]. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
