East Meadow Car vs Building 05/01/2022

On Sunday, May 1st at approximately 3:20p, the East Meadow Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a car into the building on Autumn Dr. Units quickly arrived on scene to find a car through a fence and into the front wall of a condo. With the damage to the structure, North Bellmore was requested for their Technical Rescue Team to stabilize the structure. Rescue 653 and 6512 arrived on scene and worked with the crews from East Meadow to shore the overhang of the structure. After shoring the structure, units were released from the scene in approximately 75 minutes. The driver of the auto was treated on scene. All operations were under the direction of East Meadow Chief of Department Cheswick [6100].
