East Meadow Car vs Building 10/22/2022

On Saturday, October 22nd just before 11a, the East Meadow Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a car vs building on Merrick Ave. Units quickly arrived on scene to find a car into a nail salon with minor structural damage. Crews from Engine 611 & Rescue 616 worked to evacuate the building and assess the damage while the driver of the car was evaluated by NCPD EAB. Units were released from the scene in approximately 1 hour. All operations were under the direction of Chief of Department Cheswick [6100].
