Syosset Apartment Building Fire 11/01/2021

On Monday November 1st just after 8pm, the Syosset Fire Department was dispatched to a reported apartment fire with multiple calls at the Eagle Rock Apartments on Pond Dr. 3rd Assistant Chief Sauberman [5803] was quickly on scene and transmitted a Working Fire with fire out the front door of the apartment. Engine 583 was first due and stretched the initial attack line to begin extinguishing the fire which involved 2 separate apartments on the 1st and 2nd floor. The fire was quickly raised to a second alarm with at least 3 lines stretched to extinguish the fire. With the assistance of crews from at least 10 departments, the fire was placed under control in approximately 1 hour under the direction of Chief of Department Silver [5800]. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
