Syosset House Fire 01/17/2022

On Monday, January 17th at 00:27a, the Syosset Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a smoke from the house on Fortune Ln. 3rd Assistant Chief Sauberman [5803] was first on scene and transmitted a Signal 10 for a fire in the kitchen. Rescue 588 and Engine 585 were first due and stretched the initial line to quickly knock down the fire in the kitchen. With additional fire impinging on the electrical panel, PSE&G was requested to shut power to the house. Once power was off, the fire was completely extinguished with overhaul conducted. With the assistance of Crews from Jericho, Westbury, Hicksville and Plainview, the fire was placed under control in approximately 1 hour.
