Syosset Dryer Fire 03/21/2022

On Monday, March 21st at 1:50p, the Syosset Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a Dryer fire on Nassau St. 1st Assistant Chief Judge [5801] was quickly on scene and found active fire in the dryer inside the house and upgraded the alarm, adding a FAST from Oyster Bay in addition to the extra engine from East Norwich. Engine 584 was first due and stretched 1 line to extinguish the fire. Crews removed the dryer from the house and ensured there was no extension to the structure. Mutual aid units were quickly placed back in service with all Syosset units released from the scene in approximately 45 minutes.
