Roslyn House Fire 05/17/2020

On Sunday May 17th at about 9pm, the Roslyn Rescue and Roslyn Highlands Fire Companies were dispatched to a report of a dryer fire on Harding Ave in Roslyn Heights. Chiefs from both companies quickly arrived on the scene to find a dryer fire with extension to the structure and a Signal 10 (working fire) was transmitted. Highlands Engine 592 was first due and stretched the initial line to the basement. At least 2 lines were stretched to extinguish the basement fire. The fire was placed under control in approximately 45 minutes.
