Oyster Bay House Fire 02/22/2020

On Saturday, February 22nd at just after 12:30am, the Oyster Bay & Atlantic Steamer Fire Companies were dispatched to a report of a house fire on Hill Dr. Company #1 1st Assistant Chief Decarolis [5502] was first on scene and transmitted a Signal 10 for fire showing from the house. TL554 & East Norwich dual response Quint 513 quickly arrived on scene and stretched the initial line into the house to begin extinguishing the fire. The fire quickly rose to a 2nd alarm with fire on all floors of the house. At least 3 lines were stretched and placed into operation to extinguish the stubborn fire. Multiple exotic animals including snakes and monkeys were rescued from the house by firefighters.
