Locust Valley House Fire 04/29/2018

On Sunday, April 29th at just before 3pm, the Locust Valley Volunteer Fire Department​ was dispatched to a report of a house fire on 14th St. All 4 Locust Valley Chiefs quickly arrived on scene and encountered a heavy fire load in the attic of the house and a Signal 10 was transmitted. Engine 543 was first due and began the initial attack on the fire. Additional crews arrived on scene shortly after to assist with extinguishing the fire and conducting overhaul. The fire was upgraded to a 2nd alarm and was placed under control in less than an hour.
