Glenwood Garbage Truck Fire 06/07/2022

On Tuesday June 7th just after 10:15a, the Glenwood Fire Company was dispatched to a report of a Garbage Truck on Fire on Glen Cove Ave in front of North Shore High School. Numerous Glenwood units were quickly on scene and found a fire in the rear of the truck mostly knocked down by a fire extinguisher. The truck was moved down the road to Tappan Beach to dump the truck. One the truck was dumped, 1 line was stretched off Quint 533 to completely extinguish the fire. All operations were under the direction of 1st Assistant Chief Greig [5301].
