Glen Cove House Fire 05/09/2020

On Saturday May 9th just before 10:15a, the Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a reported house fire on Rooney Ct. 2nd Asst Chief Grella [5202] arrived on scene within a minute and transmitted a Signal 10 for a confirmed fire in the attic. Engine 524 quickly arrived on scene and stretched the initial line to begin extinguishing the fire. The fire was quickly knocked down with a total of 3 lines were stretched with 2 placed into operation. Overhaul was conducted with the assistance of mutual aid crews on scene. The fire was placed under control within 1 hour.
