Bayville House Fire 01/04/2022

On Tuesday, January 4th at 8:48a, the Bayville Fire Company was dispatched to a reported basement fire on Highland View Dr. Multiple Bayville Chiefs were quickly on scene and a Signal 10 was transmitted for a confirmed fire in the basement ceiling. Engine 503 was first due and stretched 1 line to quickly extinguish the fire within 15 minutes. With the assistance of crews from Locust Valley, East Norwich and Oyster Bay, overhaul was conducted to locate and extinguish any residual hot spots. All operations were under the direction of Chief of Department Bilbrey [507]. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
