Valley Stream Garage Fire 09/05/2022

On Monday, September 5th just after 1am, the Valley Stream Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a garage fire on Oak St. 2nd Assistant Chief Colucci [3402] was quickly on scene and transmitted a Signal 10 with a well involved detached garage on fire. Engine 343 was first due and stretched the initial line to begin extinguishing the fire. In total, 2 lines were stretched to extinguish the fire with minor extension to an adjoining shed. The fire was quickly brought under control in under 30 minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
