Valley Stream Building Fire 06/04/2020

On Thursday June 4th just after 10:45a, the Valley Stream Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a building fire at the Valley Stream Department of Public Works Sign Shop. 2nd Assistant Chief Capone [3402] and 1st Assistant Chief Scanlon quickly arrived on scene and were advised by DPW staff of a confirmed fire in the back of the building and a Signal 10 was transmitted. Engine 344 was first due and stretched the initial line into the building to extinguish the fire. The fire was quickly knocked down by crews on scene with the scene being placed under control in under 30 minutes.
