Point Lookout Wetdown & Dedication of Engine 255 & Ambulance 258 10/03/2021

On Sunday October 3rd, the Lido Company of the Point Lookout-Lido Fire Department held a dedication and wetdown for the new Engine 255 and Ambulance 258. The new Engine 255 is a 2021 Pierce Enforcer which replaces a 1996 RD Murray. Ambulance 258 is a 2018 PL Custom Type 3 Ambulance which has been in service for a few years already. During the ceremony, Engine 255 was dedicated to Ex-Chief and 63-year member Lester Kappel affectionately known as “The Heart and Soul” of the company. Ambulance 258 was dedicated to Ex-Chief and 50-year member Neil Weiselberg affectionately known as the “Voice of Reason”. After the dedication, both apparatus were officially wetdown by neighboring departments in attendance.
