Freeport Car vs Building 03/09/2021

On Tuesday, March 9th at 7:23p, the Freeport Fire Department was dispatched to an automatic alarm at BMW of Freeport. Engine 216 was quickly on the road and were advised by Firecom that a direct call was received for a car into the building. E216 arrived on scene and confirmed a car entered the showroom through the glass and damaged a support beam. North Bellmore Technical Rescue Team was requested to the scene by Chief of Department Braun [2100]. Upon assessment of the structure, crews determined that no shoring operations were required and the scene was turned over to the building department. 2 patients were evaluated by EMS with unknown injuries. All units were released from the scene in approximately 40 minutes
