Freeport Exterior Fire 02/24/2021

On Wednesday February 24th at 10:25p, the Freeport Fire Department was dispatched to smoke next to the building on Lenox Pl. 1st Assistant Chief Sotira [2101] was quickly on the scene and advised he had an exterior fire on the side of the house. Engine 216 was first due and stretched 1 line to extinguish the fire while the crew of Ladder 218 opened up the exterior wall to check for extension. The fire was found to be contained to the exterior with the cause of the fire under investigation.
