New Hyde Park House Fire 05/12/2020

On Tuesday, May 12th at approximately 6:40a, the New Hyde Park Fire Department was dispatched to a report of smoke and flames from a house on Hillside Blvd. Upon arrival of Chief of Department Lyons [1700] and 1st Asst. Chief Papa [1701], fire was found on the 2nd floor and attic and a Signal 10 (working fire) was transmitted. Engine 172 and Tower Ladder 175 quickly arrived on scene and began initial searches and attack on the fire. At least 2 lines were stretched to extinguish the fire which was quickly extinguished.
