Garden City Park House Fire 04/12/2022

On Tuesday, April 12th at 8:53p, less than 30 minutes after being released from their previous fire, the Garden City Park Fire Department was alerted for a reported kitchen fire on Marcus Ave. Chief of Department Sarracco [1500] and Engine 154 were immediately on the road and upon arrival, a Signal 10 was transmitted with active fire in the kitchen of the house. The crew of Engine 154 stretched the initial line into the kitchen to quickly knock down the fire and search for extension alongside Ladder 151. With the assistance of crews from Mineola and New Hyde Park, the fire was placed under control in approximately 15 minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
