Garden City Park Building Fire 01/29/2020

On Wednesday, January 29th, just after 11:30p, the Garden City Park Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a building fire on Hillside Ave in Williston Park. Chief of Department Thomas [1500] quickly arrived on scene and found smoke from the building and requested a FAS Team to respond. Upon further sizeup, fire was found in a laundromat and a Signal 10 was transmitted. Engine 1511 was first due and stretched the initial line to extinguish the fire which were contained to the dryers. The fire was quickly placed under control.
