Garden City Park Smoke Showing 08/18/2020

On Tuesday, August 18th at approximately 3:30p, the Garden City Park Fire Department was dispatched to a reported house fire on 2nd Ave. 1st Assistant Chief Sarracco [1501] was quickly on scene and advised he had smoke showing from the residence and transmitted a Signal 98. Garden City Park Engine 152 was first due and stretched the initial line to the structure while crews investigated the source or the smoke. Ultimeately, 2 lines were stretched with the assistance of New Hyde Park Engine 173 to extinguish the small fire under the siding of the house. The scene was quickly placed under control.
